Monthly gives you maximum flexibility — cancel any time, no long-term commitment, but the domain stays open to public offers while you rent. It depends on your plan. On monthly rentals, the domain stays open to public offers — anyone can submit a bid, and you'll always get the first right to match or respond before anything happens. On yearly rentals, you're the only one who can make an offer to buy. The name is locked to you for the full term, with no public bids in the background. If you want a name fully off the table, go yearly.

Yes. There's no limit. A lot of founders rent two or three simultaneously for brand testing before committing to one. You manage all active rentals from a single dashboard.

We rent root domains (like yourbrand.com). Once you control the domain, you can create as many subdomains as you need from within your DNS settings. That's entirely up to you.

Your AI runs the DNS moves for you: list records reads your current DNS (free, no code needed); update records adds, edits, or removes A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, and TXT records; change nameservers points the domain at another provider; set forwarding sends the domain to a URL; and rollback restores the previous snapshot if something looks off. Reads are always free, but every write (update, nameservers, forwarding, rollback) requires a fresh 2FA code, so your agent can look up records on its own but can never change them without your approval.

Yes, and it never needs a code to do it. Just ask, for example: "Which of my domains renew this month, and are any DNS records missing?" Your AI runs read-only moves: list rentals shows every active domain with its billing and renewal dates; list records reads the current DNS for any domain; and status reports where any plan you're running stands. All three are free and require no 2FA, because reading never changes anything. The moment you ask it to actually change a record, that's a write and it'll need a fresh code.

What's the difference between generate key and full mcp setup & auth?

Generate key creates a static connection key (it starts with lk_mcp_) and builds a ready-to-paste terminal command for you. Use it for header-capable clients like Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini CLI — they can send a custom Authorization header, so one command and you're connected. Full MCP setup & auth takes you to the full Connect page, which covers every client including browser-based ones like Claude.ai and ChatGPT. Those clients can't send custom headers, so they use OAuth instead: you paste a URL, approve in your browser, and you're in. If you're using a terminal-based AI, generate a key. If you're using a web-based AI, use full setup.

How do i create an account?

Click Sign Up from the homepage or any domain listing page. You'll need an email and a password. No credit card required to browse. You only enter payment when you subscribe to a domain.

How do i cancel my subscription?

From your dashboard, go to My Rentals, select the domain, and choose Cancel. The domain stays active through the end of your current billing period, then returns to the marketplace. No cancellation fees.

Can i change the domain i'm renting mid-subscription?

Accepted Answer

You can't swap one domain for another mid-cycle, but you can cancel the current one and rent a different domain immediately. Your cancelled domain remains active until the billing period ends.

How does billing work, and when am i charged?

Accepted Answer

You're charged on the day you subscribe, then on the same date each month (or year, if annual). Renewal reminders are sent by email a few days before the charge.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer refunds within 48 hours of your initial subscription if the domain hasn't been actively configured. After that window, or for renewals, we don't issue refunds. But you can cancel before the next cycle.

When a skill you own and your tribe can't unblock a task, you can spend a Wish to send a brokered assist request to the member most likely to help. You spend a Wish to post one brokered assist request to the network, and the matched helper who resolves it earns a Wish and a Charm in return, so helping keeps Wishes circulating instead of running out. Wishes only ever pay to reach a human, never to run your skills. If your request goes unclaimed for seven days it expires and the Wish is refunded in full.

Mastery tier climbs from there based on how many times you've helped other members with that same skill, so the more you answer for it, the higher it ranks.

You don't type slash commands. You just tell your AI what you want in plain English — for example: "Plan a launch for my new domain: set up DNS, write the landing copy, and publish it." From there it runs the moves on your behalf: plan declares the tasks you're starting and hands each one its matching skill; status shows your current phase, what's done, and the single next action, so you can resume with zero context; apply runs a task (or every ready task) with its skill and marks it done; verify checks the applied work actually did what the task asked; finish closes the plan, writes the summary, and awards your Charms. Finish is blocked until every task is resolved, so nothing gets left half-done.

Where can i see my active rentals?

My domain isn't propagating. what do i do?

Accepted Answer

DNS propagation can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours depending on your previous settings and your visitors' ISPs. Check your records in the dashboard to confirm they're saved correctly, then wait and recheck. If it's been more than 24 hours, contact support.

My ai stopped connecting after i made a new key. how do i fix it?

Accepted Answer

Each connection key works on its own, so the moment you generate a new one, the old one turns off. If your AI client is still set up with the old key, it quietly loses access. Reconnecting takes two commands: first remove the old server with `claude mcp remove luckiest`, then run the add command again with your new key. Adding without removing first won't work, because your client already has a server named 'luckiest' and rejects the duplicate. Once you re-add it, your AI is back on the current key.

What if the domain i want isn't available?

Join the waitlist on the domain's listing page and we'll notify you when it becomes available. You can also submit a request for domains you'd like to see added. We expand inventory based on demand.

I'm having trouble logging in. what should i do?

Accepted Answer

Try resetting your password from the login screen. If you signed up with a social login (Google, etc.), make sure you're using the same method. Still stuck? Contact support and we'll sort it out.

My payment failed. how do i fix it?

Go to Billing in your account settings and update your payment method. Once a valid card is on file, retry the charge. If the issue persists, check with your bank. Some international cards block recurring charges by default.

Who owns the domain while i'm renting?

The original owner or Luckiest holds legal title. You have exclusive rental rights and full DNS control for the duration of your subscription. Ownership only transfers if you complete a buyout on a rent-to-own eligible domain.

We run preliminary trademark screening on every name in our marketplace. That said, we strongly recommend doing your own due diligence before going to market. Trademark law is complex and no screening is exhaustive.
